Project management - external promotional marketing content design projects. Experience leading cross-functional teams in execution of communication plans .1-2 years of integrated communication planning experience (this will be a more limited portion of the role, as most plans are developed and we’re mainly seeking support in managing cross-functional teams/designers/digital producers in execution of promotional collateral)
Responsibilities include:
• Developing, executing and leading of global project/program teams to successfully deliver the defined products/solutions to business unit management (initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes)
• Identifying resources required for assigned project activities and forming teams to complete the activities
• Building team ownership and commitment to project plan
• Developing and monitoring project budgets through regular analysis of cost and spending
• Timely communication of priorities and status with senior management, regional and functional leads including presentations and discussions at leadership meetings
• Managing challenges of technology application and new product development including identification, communication and escalation of technical and business risks
• Resolving conflicts with team members and providing input to functional managers on team and team member performance
• Facilitating end of life of products following commercial release of new products
• Mentoring and/or coaching other functional and project managers
• Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements)
• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience Someone with not a lot of experience, that could adapt and grow in the position, is welcome!
• Strong organization, communication and influencing skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle full responsibility for project completion
• Results-oriented and focused on delivering timely, accurate and premium execution
• Experience in managing multiple significant, cross functional projects and/or initiatives
• Eager to learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications
• BS Degree, Engineering
• PMP Certification
• Background in medical device development or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Experience communicating and influencing all levels of the organization
• Experience managing sustaining and new product development projects including business critical and high visibility projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead small and medium cross functional teams as a Project Manager, Operations Leader or Technical Leader
Lead projects and programs within the External Medical Equipment Product Development group
• The scope of projects would include sustaining development projects and commercialization.
• Success in the role requires a focus on capturing the opportunities from across the various functions, creating a cohesive strategy for project execution and driving execution to ensure project completion
• Project size will range from small one-off tasks to large process improvement, design change, line extension activities, design transfers and projects driving global productivity and commercialization
• Multiple projects will be handled simultaneously with cross-functional team members from R&D, Design Assurance, Packaging, Regulatory, Operations, Supplier Development, Supply Chain and Clinical
• This role would also work with international teams and external suppliers
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build global relationships are required for this role
• This person must be proactive and comfortable working in an environment that has a large number of projects
