Project Manager-
Manages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation.  This role really is a leadership position in managing competing company priorities, not so much designated to CAD drawing reviews or developing methods of engineering. The role supports working with multiple departments such as Land rights, Project managers, engineering, construction (operations), and of course the design reviews.
• Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
• Develops project plan and drives project milestones.
• Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives.
• Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation and status reports.
Candidate Qualifications:
• Associates degree in drafting, design, engineering or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• May be subject to overtime. Competent with various drafting and CAD techniques. Drafting knowledge should be multi-disciplined in nature.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering and Business preferred.
• Must be tactful and self-disciplined.
• Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of PC’s including Windows, email applications, MS Access, Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Must have a general working knowledge of project management skills including scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, resource loading and project controls Supervise Distribution Design work volume and resource to ensure innovative and cost-effective designs that are compliant with corporate standards and policies.
• Provide technical matter expertise, and real-time technical support services to planning, Right of Way, construction and operations for electric and gas distribution facilities. Anticipates and positions project teams to meet near-term and future needs. Review, monitor and approve distribution projects for compliance with national and state codes/tariffs and internal design standards and policies. Develop and recommend processes to ensure compliance with all requirements.
