Job Description:
The position of Program Manager - Program Management for Urinalysis Business Unit reports to the Director of Program Management/PMO with the primary responsibility of overseeing the product sustainment and delivery process from initial business case development to obsolescence. The candidate will support portfolio analysis and prioritization of projects in the pipeline, both proposed and ongoing, and the dynamic resource allocation process across functions. The candidate provides leadership and support/implement all Program Management (PMO) processes and tools. The candidate will be located in our Chatsworth, CA facility.
Key Accountabilities -
• Partners with Product Management, Operations, QA/RA and R&D to drive Product Business Decision Team (PBDT) activities
• Responsible for achievement of QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) metrics for all projects in their portfolio.
• Identify and drive countermeasures in instances when projects are overdue or exceeding budget
• Establish and monitor use of visual tools for project tracking and management
• Forecast staffing requirements for Projects
• Communicate program/project status, and plans to management
• Manage a program through Core Team by directing project activities and resolving issues
• Makes or facilitates project trade-off decisions within the boundaries of the approved project contract
• Accountable for the success of the project
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ year’s exp.
• Work experience should include 3-5 years in program/project management leading complex projects.
• Experience in an FDA and/or ISO13485 regulated environment is strongly recommended.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar
• Fast learner able to quickly become adept at using the Danaher Business System tool set
• Demonstrated ability to manage team by influence and displayed leadership skills.
• Readily accepts responsibility and accountability for project success and associated key decisions
• Ability to learn all functions of the business and build bridges between functions and cultures to further the overall goals of the organization
