Job Description:
• Executes engineering portion of new product introduction (NPI) process and is responsible for the accuracy and quality of those projects and portions of NPI under direct control   
• Responsible for successful project execution, reaching milestones, meeting schedules
• Participates/ and or leads in the design of prototype level equipment, machinery, tooling, and fixtures
• Constructs prototypes, evaluates prototype performance through suitable test activities, documents performance, identifies improvements, explores new methods and materials
• Identifies product development concepts through familiarity with industry trends, knowledge of applicable technology, and collaboration with Avicenna engineering and sales teams
• Responsible for developing new processes that meet customer product specifications and support Avicenna’s need for reliable and repeatable manufacturing operations   
• Integrates product development and manufacturing processes to ensure smooth transition to manufacturing (keeps product development and production processes linked)
• Responsible for product release documentation (validation & test protocols plans, Inspection Procedures, First Article Acceptance, production routings, visual aids, cost estimates, etc.)
• Responsible to work with manufacturing team to document the processing steps and work instructions required to manufacture products, reviews process documentation for accuracy
• Provides support to sales team, interfaces with customer’s design or development engineers
• Balances customer expectations and needs with Avicenna capabilities and capacity
• leads Project Teams
 
Requirements:
• BS degree in Engineering/Sciences or 3-5 years of applicable experience
• Experience design and/or manufacturing of medical devices to ISO 13485 standard desired
• Experience in an FDA regulatory environment a plus
• Years of work experience per job level
