Job Description:
The following outlines the duties and responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst -
• Assist in the calculation and distribution of payments for assigned pay groups for bonuses, terminations, new hires, and leaves, etc.
• Calculation and communication of overpayments, collections and updates.
• Calculation and request of payment for payroll related deductions.
• Monitor, review and analyze the court orders, child support, levies and writs, assuring that all legal and compliance actions are in place.
• Calculate and print off-cycle checks, distribute related reports.
• Process enrollment forms for company sponsored non-benefit deduction plans, direct deposits, and W-4 changes.
• Research and initiate communications for unclaimed payroll checks.
 
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
• High School diploma, post-secondary education desired.
• Experience: (list both minimum and preferred requirements)
• Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
• PeopleSoft payroll experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience working with Microsoft Office products
• Strong aptitude for system work
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
• Ability to work both independently and in teams
• Ability to work under pressure and in tight deadlines
• High degree of accuracy and detail oriented
• Good math and accounting skills desired
 
**Key skills include: payroll processing background, analytical mindset, problem solving skills, understanding of company policies/compliance, time and labor exp., Excel. PeopleSoft, accounting, and tax experience a plus. A/P (Accounts Payable) exp. will not work. MUST have a background in payroll.
