Job Description:
We are looking for an Order Processing Specialist. This Order Processing Specialist will perform duties to receive customer orders, prepare for order entry, and process orders by entering them into a computer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive distributor and customer purchase orders, changes, cancellations, sample requests, and literature requests.  Analyze and interpret requirements.  Prepare purchase orders for order entry.  Refer appropriate correspondence to the appropriate personnel.
• Enter purchase orders, literature and sample orders into computer giving priority to expedited orders double-checking for coded errors.
• Process change orders, additions and cancellations to existing purchase orders.
• Suggest substitute or alternate products when necessary and refer order for special products to appropriate personnel when applicable.
• Add new accounts and maintain existing account information in computer.
• Monitor purchase orders received by EDI transactions as needed.
• Process new item number requests and follow up as needed.
• Respond to inquiry by phone, fax or e-mail as the situation demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or its equivalent along
• 3 years’ experience in an office setting
• Must have excellent and accurate typing skills.  
• Must have general computer skills, be detail-oriented and able to work effectively with people at all levels.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
The majority of this job is spent at a workstation under normal office conditions.  High volume of typing.
