Job Description:
Provide manufacturing engineering and technical support to production.  Work cross-functionally with Quality, Tool Room, Maintenance, and the Production teams to support daily production and ensure achievement of safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives.
Job duties:
1. Actively promote and drive a culture of safety
2. Provide daily technical support to production to achieve department goals for safety, quality, on-time delivery, scrap, efficiency, and cost improvements.
3. Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment.
4. Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve these same metrics.
5. Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new product introductions.
6. Write and train production personnel on work instructions and procedures.  Implement Standard Work.
1. Solve problems on the factory floor.  Act as the primary technical resource to resolve production issues after they have been escalated through the factory.
2. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis activities, and implementation of long-term solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
3. Develop and implement process improvements.
4. Generate and keep all manufacturing documentation up-to-date (BOM’s, specification changes, ECO’s, reports, print revisions, fixturing, protocols, etc.).
5. Lead formal root cause investigations and implement resulting corrective actions in a timely manner. Confirm effectiveness.
6. Interfaces with suppliers as required for incoming components, outsourced services, and new process equipment.
7. Competent in protocol and report writing.
8. Complete process FMEA’s as required.  Implement and review process controls.
9. Member of Material Review Board.
10. Performs all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.S.) or five years of related work experience and/or education.
• Must have 3-5 years of Plastic Injection Molding Experience in the Medical Device Industry
• Must have Experience in manufacturing. Does not want someone who sits at a desk all day. Wants someone that is willing to get their hands-on machine, troubleshoot issues, and work on manufacturing floor with supervisor.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, gather, and analyze information develop solutions and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• High level of accountability.  Aligned with our policy of Promises Made – Promises Kept.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
