Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for planning and execution of projects. Projects are defined as product or process improvement, cost reduction and validation of new equipment and process. He/she also interfaces directly with product builders, production personnel and engineers in resolving production issues.
This engineer will follow guidelines and interfaces with R&D to develop the process and then help introduce the product into Production.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform process and equipment validation. Write protocols and reports for Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification and Process Performance Qualification.
• Write and release process instructions for new processes and train production personnel on manufacturing process.
• Optimize process, improve yield, reduce cycle time & scrap.
• Develop schedules and manage execution of manufacturing engineering activities to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Act independently to implement and follow through
• Drive discussions with cross functional team members to obtain consensus.
• Implement Lean manufacturing concepts to eliminate non-value added activities.
• Contribute and deliver results in a team setting with shared goals
• Attend and contribute to product core team meetings
• Create and manage Change Notices
• Perform any other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
 
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power point
• Passion for learning.
• Must be able to multi task.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree is a significant plus
• LabView experience is a significant plus
• Background in general electrical test equipment, e.g., oscilloscope, digital multimeter
• Medical device industry experience preferred
• Process validation experience is a plus
• Strong organizational and execution skills.
• Be able to work well in teams under tight deadlines
