Job Description:
Job Duties:
• Takes ownership of start-up procedures and clean-up at end of day
• Maintains machines and equipment per maintenance standards, including regular maintenance of the line components
• Troubleshoot equipment performance issues
• Operates conventional equipment and hand tools to assemble large wood acoustical panels and step units
• Applies knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques
• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines and tables
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using appropriate precision measuring instruments. In addition, performs First Article Inspection on all custom panels.
• Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools
• Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly, using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Displays a working knowledge of products and how they are manufactured
• The ability to work in multiple areas of the shop – acoustical shell, deck build, and lamination
• Follows all safety procedures outlined in safety manual when performing tasks
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
 
Requirements:
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be willing to work in multiple departments. For example, assembly, machine operation, acoustical shell.
• Mechanical assembly experience
• Must be well organized and have a strong work ethic
• Experience with Hand Tools and Power Tools
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
