Job Description:
Currently seeking a Temporary Human Resources Generalist to provide leadership to our Defense Electronic Systems team in our Northridge, CA offices.
Responsibilities
In this role you will perform a broad range of HR generalist functions encompassing college/intern recruitment, on-boarding, leadership and employee development, employee relations including, but not limited to:
• Lead College/Intern recruitment
• Lead Internship Program
• Proactively support employee engagement initiatives
• Coordinate the administration & timely completion of employment documentation including personnel files, hires, terms and changes
• Process employee changes in the HRIS (PeopleSoft)
• Analyze trends and metrics to develop and recommend solutions and policies
• Assist in with the development of new policies and procedures
• Conduct thorough, effective and timely investigations
• Reports status on key milestones, activities, and issues
• Delivers HR services (e.g., training, career development, performance management, etc.) to assigned clients
• Coaches employees in using HR services within the proper service delivery channels (e.g., Self Service, Shared Services, and Business Partners).
• Coaches employees through implementing new or changed HR policies, processes, and programs.
• Coaches employees through resolving human resource administration and employee relations’ issues.
• Maintains current knowledge of supported client’s business objectives, organization, and key business challenges.
• Provides compensation analyses and recommendations for positions as needed.
• Completes special projects as assigned.
 
Requirements:
Skills and Experience Required -
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource experience
• Demonstrated understanding of core Human Resources functions and best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to flex communications style to all organizational and educational levels within our diverse work force
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to multi-task and drive results in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Previous experience with PeopleSoft, Kronos, and Microsoft Suite products
