Job Description:
The selected candidate will work as an electrical test technician on all aspects of integration and test for the Iridium NEXT space vehicle program. Support electrical subsystem environmental testing (including acoustic vibration testing) as needed. Ability to test and analyze flight board and box level testing. Will acquire necessary skills on-the-job under the tutelage of senior technicians and engineers. Support test leads and senior engineers in setup of test configurations and execution of electrical tests using complex test equipment. Operate and maintain automated test equipment, special test equipment and test cables. Support electrical leads and senior engineers with testing extremely fragile space hardware and test configurations. Support and maintain work areas up to company FOD and 5S standards. The Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 5 years hands-on electrical test of electronic hardware utilizing complex computer controlled test equipment.
 
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• The candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in a related field or HS Diploma plus military training.
• Additionally, 5 years of recent experience as an Electrical Test Technician (RF and computer networking preferred).
In addition, the selected candidate should have:
• Experience with fundamental electrical troubleshooting and networking tools.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of electrical and/or computer networking equipment.
• Experience working with RF subsystems and RF test equipment is preferred.
• Ability and initiative to tackle and understand new technical and engineering designs.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/system flow diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits is desired.
• Ability to identify issues, escalate to appropriate channels, and implement solutions after engineering review to routine process problems of limited scope.
• Ability to work with diverse team, take constructive feedback from senior technicians, engineers and QA support personnel.
• Preferred experience with working inside Clean Rooms, Hazardous Operations protocols, and related operational protocols is preferred.
• Experience in setting up and operating equipment, testing apparatus, test equipment, diagnostic devices and related equipment.
• Aerospace industry experience a plus
