Performs a variety of tasks associated with returned products and manufacturing printed circuit boards and other RMA products. Performs various electronic soldering operations/repair on components or subassemblies.  
• Receives no work instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.  Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.  
• Works under general supervision.  Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers, Program Managers and team members; engage in exchanges of factual information and provide some explanation.  
• Visually inspects deliveries for loss or damage.  Prepares RMA goods and other items for shipment.  Orders and maintains supplies necessary to repair and ship RMA products.  
• Installs, solders and inspects thru-hole and surface mount components, wires in circuit boards per RMA documentation and IPC workmanship standards.  
• Reads RMA work routers, follows electronic files, production drawings or sample assemblies.  
• Inspects component parts prior to assembly and rejects defective parts.  Microscope and halo light soldering may be required.  Inspects and evaluates the quality of products.
• IPC 610 Certification (MUST HAVE)
• Knowledge of ERP system, SMT materials, electronic packaging.
• Knowledge of personal computers and ability to learn and use applications specific to this area.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and assimilate job documentation and identify and configure specific materials for each work order.
• Ability to maintain detailed accurate and organized records.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal customers.
• A high school education or equivalent along with at least 2 years of relevant experience.  
• Must exhibit knowledge and/or skill in operating equipment and hand tools used in the area.  
• Must be able to correlate components and component polarity screen symbols and pad shapes.  
• Must be able to identify the package style of through-hole and surface mount components.
