JOB DESCRIPTION
• Assemble and set up equipment following engineering instructions and production illustrations such as manufacturer’s specifications, service manuals and bulletins, or other engineering-approved technical data or oral instructions.
• Following engineer’s or technician’s instructions, perform functional test, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test support equipment.
• Install and remove flight components. Operate support equipment necessary for satellite AI&T and satellite launch operations.
• Responsible for the ground support control and instrumentation systems that operate during launch day activities. Directly involved with Launch Pad system checkouts, and troubleshooting.
• Using electrical equipment in the field to verify functionality of end instruments.
• Writing procedures to address both routine tasks as well as off-nominal troubleshooting step.
• Provide innovative solutions to special requirements and challenges faced by the team.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency or direct hands-on experience in one or more of the following: electronics test rack design & build, data acquisition setup and field measurements, build of electronics systems or test systems for local assembly or industrial applications.  (Examples fields are: robotics, automotive, aircraft, RF or communication systems)
• Experience working on (assembly, test, handling, launch processing) space flight hardware (missiles, boosters and/or spacecraft).
• Possess a working knowledge of electrical systems used on missiles or space vehicles and possess a knowledge of shop theory and practices.
• Knowledge of safety regulations necessary to prepare flight vehicle and AGE electrical systems and equipment for test/launch purposes.
• Possess a knowledge of working characteristics of materials used on ground support equipment and flight vehicles.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• High school diploma or GED. Undergraduate degree in an engineering related discipline is required.
• AS Degree a Plus. 10 + years Exp. US Citizens with Passport for travel to France at start of project
