JOB DESCRIPTION
Electrical Engineer
This position requires strong electrical engineering skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to support sophisticated water treatment systems, for a wide variety of challenging applications. The Electrical Engineer works with the engineering and field service teams, to troubleshoot and commission process technologies such as: reverse osmosis (RO), demineralization (DI), ultraviolet (UV), water softeners, ion exchange, pressure filters, chemicals, ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), etc. This position requires up to 25% travel
• Design and integrate industrial power distribution systems from 480VAC power down to secondary voltages.
• Design and integrate industrial automation and control systems including PLC controls, motor controls, and general machine design controls.
• Prepare and compile necessary calculations and bills of materials to support product designs.
• Prepare product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics (ladder format).
• Determine feasibility of modifying existing or designing new equipment considering costs, time limitations, and other technical and economic factors.
• Analyze product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine possible design improvements.
• Analyze test data and reports to help determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Coordinate design efforts to meet production schedules and provide project task estimates and updates to project team.
• Lead design reviews consisting of multi-disciplined team members.
• Collaborate with other engineering personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop or modify designs as required.
• Provide on-site service and support when necessary
• Troubleshoot and electrical issues with PLC’s/HMI’s/VFD’s, pump motors, controls, instruments, etc.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of 2D solid modeling software, particularly AutoCad.
• Solid knowledge of PLC’s/HMI’s/VFD’s and programming software (Rockwell, Modicon, Siemens)
