Job Description:
Operate test equipment to perform standard tests.  Set-up, program, and operate wire wrap machines and perform hand wire wrap operation.  Also performs a variety of standard and specialized tasks required by manufacturing in the test or manufacture of electronic components.    
** Wire wrap is an operation where the employee follows a wiring diagram and using a small hand tool (gun type) will wrap a wire around a connector.  The job we have has 3,000 wires that need to be wrapped on one PWB.    
Operates test equipment and conducts standard tests on a variety of components and units.  Works closely with the Test Technician to meet production scheduled.  Performs duties such as programming, set-up, and operation of wire wrap machines and equipment.  Performs hand wire wrap operation using hand tools.  Operates equipment working from operations sheets, blueprints and verbal instructions.  Performs a variety of standard and specialized tasks required by manufacturing, in the manufacture of electronic components.  
Follows all ISO 9001 and AS 9100 work instructions and general department procedures.  Will be responsible for the quality of work and meeting daily quantity standards.  May be required to train other employees and assist in orientation of new employees. Performs other duties as required and may be utilized in other areas and departments of manufacturing as workload dictates.  Keeps facilities, materials and work area clean and organized, exercising care in their use. Follows safe work practices and takes prompt action to correct problems. Actively seeks continuous process improvement.
• High School education or equivalent required.  
• One year related manufacturing experience plus wire wrap and test experience highly desirable.  
• Electronic vocational school, or military electronic training, or equivalent desirable.  
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.  
• Follows oral and written instructions.  
• Will be required to pass IPC-610 Certification.  
• Visual exams are required pre-hire and annually to confirm visual acuity of 20/20 in one eye with or without glasses along with passing a standard color vision exam.
• This person needs to be able to work well with others, is a team player, results oriented and has good communication skills.  
• Work is performed primarily in sitting positions.  
• Must have good manual dexterity.   
• Job duties require repetitive hand movement.  
• Scheduled overtime may be required.
