Job Description:
Our customer is looking for a ME Tech to work within a very well equipped R&D 3D printing facility, and support new product development staff by preparing rapid-prototypes and models for utilization in their experimentation. Dynamic, interesting, fast-paced environment with the ultimate benefit of working toward improving the quality of patient care. 3-D Printing Lab post processing support. Assists in equipping R&D staff to conduct new product development of medical devices and test methods. Responsible for serving needs of internal engineers and technicians for rapid prototyping of components, molds, fixtures, and models. Teamwork and collaboration with department personnel and customers.  
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform hands-on 3D printing and post-processing operations. Operate equipment, and safely work with finishing tools and chemicals.
• Prepare documentation and quality records to accompany 3D printed deliverables.
• Maintains inventory of 3D Print Lab supplies.
• Creates and maintains equipment documentation. Maintains and facilitates repairs of equipment.
• Identifies areas for improvement, suggests solutions, and executes improvement plans.
• Collaborates and communicates with department personnel and lab customers to contribute to problem-solving and achieving R&D project and product sustaining goals.
• Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
• Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
• 2-yr degree in manufacturing, science or technology.
• Some technical skills around working with equipment, fume hoods, cutting tools.
• School or work experience in primary role of hands-on operation of 3D printing equipment.
• Experience with handling and working with chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Experience in hands-on operation of hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Must be able to work independently.
